Product Spotlight: AquaPill WinterPill

You’ve spent hours meticulously cleaning, balancing, and winterizing your pool for the cold winter temperatures. You’re absolutely positive that you’ve done the best job you can possibly do, and you’re confident that when you remove the cover next spring, your water will be just as clean and clear as the day you covered it up. Right? Right…we can sense the hesitancy at making such a bold proclamation. And it makes perfect sense! A lot can go wrong with your water chemistry once you throw the cover on and shut ‘er down. But what if we told you there’s a solution that can help maintain your water through the winter months? Because there is. Enter, the WinterPill

What is a WinterPill?AquaPill WinterPill

The WinterPill is an all-in-one solution that can expedite your pool closing process. It'll also help keep your water clean and clear through the winter. As part of the AquaPill line of products from SeaKlear, the WinterPill is a proprietary chemical blend. It not only helps prevent staining and scaling in your pool water, but also contains enzymes to break down and control non-living organic contaminants in the water. It’s a product that helps prevent unsightly oil and scale buildup around the waterline, and keeps your sanitizer free to fight off algae and bacteria in the water. The result is a pool that’s free of off-season scum lines, and full of crystal-clear water. If you’re looking for an easier spring opening next season, the WinterPill is the golden ticket.

The WinterPill is unique in that it’s compatible with all sanitizer types, all pool surfaces, and you won’t have to worry about it affecting your pool water chemistry. This highly concentrated pool closing product works through slow-release dosing, meaning one pill can treat your entire pool for the entire winter. All you have to do is make sure you choose the right size of WinterPill. Small 2¾” Pills will treat up to 15,000 gallons, while large 4” Pills can treat up to 30,000 gallons of pool water.

How Do You Use a WinterPill?

Go through the pool closing process as you normally would. Clean your pool, balance your water chemistry, add your winterizing chemicals, and purge the water from your pool equipment and plumbing lines. Before you install the cover on the pool, add your WinterPill.

First, shake the Pill well before using. Once it’s good and mixed, insert the included blue piercing tool into the large center hole. If you need to, press the WinterPill firmly against a hard surface until the piercing tool punches through the Pill’s plastic. Remove the piercing tool, and place it in the pool. That’s it! The WinterPill will float around in the pool all winter, dispersing essential enzymes and scale preventatives throughout the cold winter months.
