To prevent pool algae during the winter, In The Swim Winter Algaecide plays an important role. Winter Algaecide's powerful and highly concentrated copper-based formula is used to kill small, isolated blooms to control and prevent pool algae growth. Like other algaecides, metallic pool algaecides use metal ions that are positively charged and attach themselves to algae, where they penetrate the outer cell walls, poisoning the enzymes within the algae nucleus.
Usage Directions
- Maintain pool water in the pH range 7.2 to 7.8. Total Alkalinity range 80 ppm to 120 ppm. Adjust pH to 7.2 for severe algae.
- Ensure that filtration system is working properly and that filtration cycle is adequate.
- Brush the pool regularly.
- Calculate the volume of this product required for your pool
- Add In The Swim Winter Algaecide directly to deep end of the pool and preferably in front of a water return. Dilute in bucket of pool water when adding to pools with plaster finishes.
