The Century Hayward Northstar Motor is a professionally engineered replacement pump motor for pools and spas. With ventilation openings and Class-B insulation, it is protected against both water damage and overheating. It is built with stainless steel shafts and ball bearings to extend the life and quality of the motor and it sports an E-coated main frame for superior corrosion resistance. It operates with low noise and is built with a 56J-frame. Designed with both up rated and full-rated power levels, the Century Hayward Northstar Motor is available with 3/4HP to 2 1/2"P and is energy efficient, saving on electricity costs with its resourceful operation.
Single Phase wiring is basic with an alternating current that delivers efficient operation. Little maintenance is required and provides reliable performance
The different frame types include: C, J, Y, Z, JM, JP, or TCZ. These letters are combined with numbers to define standard specifications including the way the motor mounts onto the pump, its shaft height, and diameter
