BLU Advanced is for use in housings rated above 250 pounds of #20 silica sand. The BLU Advanced filter sand is made out of super light material 100 times lighter than sand, just one pound of Filter Balls replace 100 pounds of sand. BLU Advanced is rated to 10 microns at 95% removal during the first pass.FilterBalls operate with much less resistance than sand resulting in increased flow, decreased filter pressure, and crystal clear pool water.
